Luz’s dance journey began at just 7 years old, when she joined her elementary school’s dance team in East Harlem, NY. Though she was shy in the classroom, the stage gave her a sense of confidence and freedom - her last childhood performance was fittingly to Unstoppable by Kat DeLuna. Even after life circumstances and a relocation pulled her away from formal training, Luz kept her love for dance alive through YouTube choreo, the occasional dance sessions with friends, and countless rounds of the “Just Dance” video game. Years later, a DanceFit class in high school helped her reconnect to movement, blending Latin dance with fitness-based formats like Zumba. After moving to Rhode Island, she discovered 305 Fitness at JTB Wellness and fell in love with a style that reignited her passion, inspiring her to get certified as an instructor in January 2025. Since then, she’s led her own classes and pop-up events, and even had the chance to perform at the Berkshire Yoga Festival - an experience that marked a full-circle return to performing exactly 15 years after her last stage appearance in New York.
Today, Luz is proud to bring her energy, authenticity, and love of dance to the town of Putnam. Her mission is simple: to make movement accessible, joyful, and empowering for everyone who joins her classes. For Luz, it’s not about keeping up or being perfect at dance—it’s about having fun, moving freely, and stepping into the most confident version of yourself while celebrating the joy of dance.
